I have been waiting for him to have a winning night prior to posting this so that I would not be accussed of just spewing sour grapes, but he keeps losing and I don't feel like waiting any longer.
First, let me say that I have been a fan and follower of IC's for about 4 years. He posted for free for 2 years and did very well. He hit over 60% for 2 years while playing 1 play per day no matter how many sports or how many games there were to choose from. He would occassionally pick 3 or 5 on a busy weekend and almost always lost more than he won. After taking it on the chin he would go back to what made him successful...1 POD.....period.
THEN HE WENT TOUT. Now after 2 years or so of charging money for his plays and with me following along, it is clear he is no longer focused on what made him successful. Whether it is his own choosing or pressure from clients or owners of sites that he sells on, he is no longer dedicated to the disciplined approach that made him his name as a successful capper. 3 years ago he would have 7 plays in a week. NOW he thinks nothing of releasing 7 on a Saturday.
His normal wager is 4 units. He would reserve 5 unit and higher wagers for plays of the month, season, or year. Lately he has been giving out multiple 5+ unit plays each week.
Initially I wasn't too concerned. Many times over the first 3 years of following (free and paid) he would lose his focus, venture out and try some new things, chase a bad streak on occassion, but it was usually a fad. He would use common sense and get back to 1 play per day.
I am convinced that those days are done. For example, he has given out 7 NBA plays this season and 2 of them were 5 unit plays and another was a 7 unit play. So 3 of 7 were GOW/GOM type plays. The season is only 1 week old and he has had 2 GOW and 1 GOM. BTW, he is 1-6 on these 7 plays. If he were 6-1 I'd still be concerned with his change in strategy because I have seen him fail at it repeatedly. He was only successful because he was a LOW volume capper. High volume does not work for many and he is a perfect example. It has never worked for him and I am confident it won't work now. I think the guy has some skill. Maybe he isn't as dedicated to doing the research he once was and instead of drilling it down to 1 POD he is throwing up multiple games in hopes of more wins than losses??? Not sure we will ever know, but until he decides to go back to grass roots I can no longer endorse this guy as a good capper to follow.
Sad to say, but I do believe IC has officially jumped the shark.

He hasn't been a blind follow for me in quite awhile. A year ago I decided 1 unit a day is all I would commit to with him. So if he has 4 plays then they are 1/4 unit each. NOW I don't even play half of them and won't until he proves he can win as a higher volume player or goes back to low volume. Low volume to me is no more than 7 plays per week or an average of 1 per day. I was hoping he would be more disciplined with hoops as that has been his staple over the years. Also, less pressure for multiple plays like football with limited games. He has 2 NBA plays today. Both regular plays.

When at top ten cappers he was allowed to do his thing. Post one play per day and doing it on his time table. Posting some free write ups at capperslounge and answering a few posters questions. He signs on with doc and is pressured into posting more plays and higher units. The pressure is gettig to him......

If you guys are looking for a LOW volume capper that will win you money time after time, take a look at Bob Balfe. He plays 1 play a day in each sport, excptt on Saturday and Sunday he'll have 4. Hit's around 60% and I have been happy with him over the last two years. His plays are usually always posted by myself or others.

pjoyce, you got a little something in your eye I believe....

I have followed along these forums for some time now, and have not seen anything of any consistency from IC with the sole exception of a week or so in NCAA hoops last year. I have seen alot of plays that were dead wrong, and not close. I will watch Balfe, and appreciate any quality leads from low volume cappers. Big cards can mean big profits, but also big disasters. I used to follow NORTHCOAST here in Cleveland, but lately have seen their true colors come out. They can hit the big play, and the tell you the truth, BUT they leave out what is convenient for them to leave out.

Arizona Bound, appreciate the heads up........

once they go tout all they have in there heads is dollar signs. i followed ic on one of the monitoring sites 2 years ago he was on, what a joke he quit putting his picks there because he was down so much. he showed me there he wasnt any type of sports handicapper. i will stick with steve merrill and betonepicks group, least both of these show documented records daily and honest records.

good input fellas.

There are subtle but clear differences when someone posts plays for free vs for money. When he posted for free he would sometimes pass just because he did not have time to do his due diligence and research the card. NO way he will do that when people are paying for plays. WE (the sports bettor) are guilty of expecting plays daily, and often multiple plays to feeD our habits. Having said that, these fools shouldn't post a play they haven't researched and believe in. That's why there is such little integrity in the biz.
IC can't be that ignorant. HE has to know he has NEVER done well when he has released more than a POD. I mean not even close. Everytime he has done it he has failed. Isn't that the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
BTW, another 0-2 night last night to bring him to 1-8 on the NBA season. 8 losses in a row after predicting Washington to cover at Dallas on opening night. Washington won straight up and he looked like a genius for one day. Now he looks like a fool.
SOMEONE TELL HIM TO GET HIS HEAD OUT OF HIS ASS. TELL HIM TO GO BACK TO CAPPERSLOUNGE AND READ OVER EVERY POST HE EVER MADE STARTING FROM DAY 1. THAT'S ALL THE RESEARCH HE NEEDS.

I have monitored Balfe's plays over a long period of time. He is better than average and seems to run an honest ship but he;s only in the 53% - 54% range. He has some nice runs but he's not the FINAL ANSWER.

i monitored IC back in his covers days as well... he was solid in college basketball that was his call to fame, he had a spreadsheet that he used to help him create his own team ratings. ever since he dived into other sports hes been average.

It's an expression that came from the show Happy Days. The Fonz literally jumped a shark in one of the episode and that is when people lost all respect for that show, it was a great show before that. So now we use that expression when referring to someone that has peaked and now has "jumped the shark" into oblivion. Google it.
